At the invitation of President Sanayev of Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Mytishchi, Vice President Zhao Yusen, along with his delegation, paid a visit to the university from October 20 to 24.
Vice President Zhao Yusen held talks with President Sanayev of BMSTU, Mytishchi. The two parties comprehensively reviewed their cooperation on student exchanges and other aspects, and unanimously agreed to establish a friendly cooperative partnership between the two universities as well as sign new intercollegiate cooperation framework agreement and intercollegiate student exchange agreement. They also reached extensive common consensus on strengthening staff and student exchanges, scientific research cooperation, etc. President Sanayev invited NEFU to join in the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU), in order to make contributions to more extensive educational cooperation and exchanges between China and Russia.
After the talk, the delegation of NEFU visited the Center of Scientific Education and museum of BMSTU, Mytishchi, and held an NEFU enrollment promotional meeting.
The delegation also visited exchange students in BMSTU, Mytishchi. They were encouraged to overcome difficulties, completely utilize opportunities to accustom themselves to the new environment, and grasp Russian language and culture, so as to spread friendship between China and Russia.
Bauman Moscow State Technical University was officially founded in 1830, initially as the Royal Vocational School. As one of the most outstanding universities in the world, BMSTU is on a par with Moscow State University of Cardiff Romulus (Moscow State University). It has a history of over 180 years, and was named by Nicola Ernestovich Bowman, a revolutionist who once battled with Lenin. BMSTU is the most outstanding university of science and technology in Russia, as well as the most traditional technical university of highest achievement. BMSTU boasted a high reputation and cultivated many excellent talents of science and technology for former Soviet Union and Russia.
NEFU established cooperation with BMSTU, Mytishchi in 2002, and formally signed student exchange agreement in 2012.
