The College of Computer and Control Engineering at Northeast Forestry University was established in June 1999 through the merger of the Computer Science and Technology program from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Applied Electronic Technology and Computational Mathematics teaching and research sections from the Normal College, and the Information Technology Center.
