On the afternoon of March 25th, the 20thJob Fair Exclusive for Graduates with Master’s or Doctor’s Degrees in the Three Provinces in the Northeast of China was held in NEFU’s old gymnasium. Providing about 420 open positions and a total of 1350 personnel demanded, more than 50 enterprises and public institutions were present at this job fair, among which were 25 universities and secondary schools, including Hebei University of Economics and Business, Qiqihar Institute of Engineering and Henan University of Science and Technology etc.; 3 public institutions including Tianjin Architecture Design Institute etc.; 4 research and development institutions represented by Panjin Testing and Inspection Center; 16 enterprises involving Anhui Juhua Educational Investment Co.,Ltd. The positions were associated with a wide range of fields such as education and teaching, electric and electronic engineering, machinery, architecture as well as computer service and software, which attracted approximately 600 graduates with master’s or doctor’s degrees in Heilongjiang province.

This job fair was sponsored by Heilongjiang Employment Guidance Center for College Graduates and cosponsored by NEFU Graduate School. Sun Qingbin, Director of the Marketing Planning Division of Heilongjiang Employment Guidance Center for College Graduates, Ma Ling, Secretary of Party Committee of NEFU Graduate School and Wang Bo, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of NEFU Graduate School were present to offer guidance. This fair aimed to further expand the employment fields of graduates with master’s or doctor’s degrees and help employers to recruit competent and excellent talents.

In the job fair, the recruiting institutions introduced their basic information, career development orientation, personnel requirements and the advantages of employment by means of poster representation and face-to-face communication etc. Job candidates consulted meticulously about the issues they were concerned about such as individual career development, environment of work cities and pay level. This “intimate contact” between recruiting organizations and current graduates was conducive to making graduates more rational than blind in job hunting.

Employment is a threshold that every student has to cross, which is also a crucial turning point and a grand project in his life. The experiences of attending numerous job fairs can help graduates to get rid of underestimating their own capabilities or aiming for what is beyond their grasp and to set up appropriate social orientation so as to give full play to their own competence, fulfill their dreams and make contributions to the society.
