Recently, the results of the2016 Heilongjiang Ideological and Political Theory Course Teaching Contestwere announced, and Xu Jie, Yang Liyan and Hu Shui, all teachers from the School of Marxism, were awarded First, Second and Third Prize respectively. The quality and number of awards rank first among colleges and universities in Heilongjiang Province.

In order to deepen the reform of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities, to create new teaching measures, to improve teaching methodology, to cultivate backbone teachers, and to effectively improve the teaching ability of the province's ideological and political theory teachers, the2016 Heilongjiang Ideological and Political Theory Course Teaching Contestwas held under the under the guidance of the Provincial Working Committee, the Provincial Education Department, the Ideological and Political Theory Teaching Instructor Committee, and the Provincial College Ideological and Political Education Research Committee. All colleges and universities in Heilongjiang prepared carefully, and responded positively. After the quarter-final, a total of 36 teachers were selected for the finals. According to the on-site expert judges and student judges’ scores, 6 First Prizes, 10 Second Prizes, and 20 Third Prizes were awarded. The School of Marxism from NEFU was the only university representative to win First, Second and Third Prize at the same time.

The School of Marxism undertakes the teaching of undergraduate and graduate students’ ideological and political theory courses, and the task is very heavy. For years, all the teachers take cultivating talents as their responsibility, love education, devote themselves to teaching, and actively carrying out teaching and examination methodology reform, and have achieved fruitful teaching results. Many teachers have achieved excellent results in theTeaching Experts Contest in National College of Ideological and Political Theory Courses,National Micro-course Contest,Ideological and Political Theory Courses: A Wonderful Course Contest,Wonderful Series: Wonderful Lesson Plans, Wonderful Courseware and Wonderful Case Competitionsand other activities, and they have made great contribution to the talent cultivation of our university.
