On the afternoon of April 25, the third live broadcast lecture of theMilitary Theory Course, a sharing course of the Eastern and Western Union was held in room 425, Danqing Building. General Yin Zhuo, the well-known military strategist and Director of the Naval Informatization Expert Advisory Committee, gave a splendid lecture to more than 200 live audience participants and 20,000 on-line participants. The lecture received nearly 130,000 hits on line and achieved good results.

Li Bin, Vice President of NEFU, Zhai Xuefeng, Director of Teaching Affairs Department, Li Mingze, Deputy Director of Teaching Affairs Department and Chen Guohua, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Armed Services attended the meeting. Vice President Li Bin gave a short speech and hoped that students would cherish this valuable opportunity.

General Yin Zhuo analyzed the security situation of the South China Sea for the students from three aspects: the current security situation after Arbitration, new major trends of the South China Sea district and the basic stance of Chinese Government on the South China Sea. Through the lecture, the audience learned about the current situation of the South China Sea such as the roles played by the United States and Southeast Asian countries, the attitudes and countermeasures of our Government and so on, and enhanced their comprehension on territorial knowledge, maritime rights and interests and overseas interests.

During the course, students from Sichuan University, Nankai University and other 3 colleges exchanged opinions on line and communicated with each other by on-site Q & A, remote connection, and barrage reviews. General Yin Zhuo’s answers received constant applause and made a deep impression on students.
