On Jun.27thafternoon, NEFU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee convenes the Twelfth Session at the Conference Room 709 in Graduate Building. The Chairman of this conference and President of NEFU, Li Bin, attended. The conference was hosted by Executive Vice Dean of Graduate College, Zhou Hongfei. There were 33 members of NEFU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee, and 26 of them attended this conference, including the Director of Academic Affairs Office, Zhai Xuefeng, the Secretary of the Party Committee from Graduate College, Ma Ling, and the Vice Dean of Graduate College, Qu Fayi.
This conference was the first conference after the change of NEFU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee. Executive Vice Dean of Graduate College, Zhou Hongfei, introduced the election results of NEFU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee and other sub-committees. The Academician, Ma Jianzhang read out the new list of NEFU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee. The participants discussed and agreed with the list.
The Director of Academic Affairs Office, Zhai Xuefeng, introduced the situation that people intended to apply for bachelor. The Dean of College of International Exchange, Qiao Fenghe, introduced the situation of overseas students applying for degree. The Secretary of the Party Committee from Graduate College, Ma Ling, introduced basic situation of graduates and doctors applying for degree. And the participants discussed and agreed with the list. At last, NEFU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee decided to mandate doctor degree for 92 students, including 3 overseas students, master degree for 1260 students, including 1 overseas student and bachelor for 4434 students.
This conference adopted the suggestion of adding supervisors of graduates, which was raised by the Vice Dean of Graduate College, Qu Fayi. The Executive Vice Dean of Graduate College, Zhou Hongfei introduced the audit situation of applying for additional degree authorized units of graduates and doctors. NEFU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee discussed and voted for the list.
The Chairman of this conference, President Li Bin, made a presentation at the conference. He analyzed the responsibilities of NEFU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee and members, and required all members could take charges and make contribution to the qualification of awarding degree. He also required the education for graduates, including enhancing the management of awarding degree, perfecting the performance evaluation system of academic output and strengthening international establishment of graduate education.
