The fifth innovation and entrepreneurship achievement exhibition of NEFU students was held in Danqing Building from Sept. 27 to Sept.30.

In the exhibition, the colleges of NEFU reviewed the innovation and entrepreneurship achievements and various results of subject competitions, and displayed their works. The Exhibits came from a number of colleges and theCollegeStudentsEntrepreneurshipPark, covering modern agriculture and forestry, manufacturing, science and technology, culture, business services, public services, public welfare, and other fields. This exhibition not only shows the excellent works in various fields, but also reflects the students’ innovative thinking – a Ground and Air Information Acquisition Robot, RoboMasters Robot, and a 3D Printer from theCollege of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, a double fan air powered boat propulsion control system and snow electric motorcycle from the College of Traffic, an embossed mobile phone shell and innovative form of embossed works from the College of Gardening all draw a lot of attention. From these creative works, we are pleased to find that the new era of college students is more imaginative and creative. They use their own innovation to make life more convenient, making the environment more beautiful.

In recent years, NEFU has attached great importance to innovation and entrepreneurship education. As a demonstration university for the deepening of innovation and entrepreneurship education, NEFU takes cultivating innovative talents as a goal and makes deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform as an important starting point for the reform of the university. NEFU promotes innovation and entrepreneurship practice with scientific and technological achievements and establishes “Learning” as the center of the educational philosophy. Through the construction of “54321” innovative entrepreneurship education system (that is, five educational brand activities, four education curriculum systems, three teams of teachers, two special support Funds and one full-featured makers’ space), the innovative entrepreneurship education and personnel training is deeply integrated.

This “Five in One” innovation and entrepreneurship system has gained support from the nation, the province, the colleges and the scientific research projects. Over the past five years,  2,746 projects and 200 patents were approved, and more than 700 articles were published. At the same time, the system involved more than 8,000 students. 2,093 subject competition awards at the provincial and ministerial level have been achieved. Students in the iGEM global finals won the silver medal for 3 consecutive years, and 7 bronze medals in the “Internet+” innovation and entrepreneurship competition for college students.
