On October 25, a teaching and scientific research base was set up at the North Aviation Forest Guard Station. Zhou Hongli, vice president of NEFU, Pan Jianping, executive vice president of Science and Technology Department, Professor Sun Long, vice dean of Forestry College, Professor Hu Haiqing, leader of forest fire prevention discipline, Zhou Junliang, chief director of Northern Aviation Forest Guard Station, Fan Lu’an, vice director of Northern Aviation Forest Guard Station and Political cadres attended the ceremony.

In early January of this year, Northeast Forestry University and Northern Aviation Forest Guard Station reached a consensus on establishing the base. After many consultations, the two sides decided to cooperate on the basis of mutual benefit. The team of Professor Hu Haiqing and Professor Sun Long will provide scientific and technological support for the forestry fire prevention project of the station and the station will in return give all-round support to our university in terms of practical training of students.

At the opening ceremony, the two sides signed theAgreement on Strategic Cooperation of Northeast Forestry University and Northern Aviation Forest Guard Station of the State Forestry Administration. Director Zhou Junliang presented a certificate of appointment to Professor Sun Long and appointed him as the chief expert of the station. The two sides also exchanged opinions on personnel training, technical practice, base experiment and project cooperation, and reached preliminary agreement on the joint construction of the State Forestry Administration Key Laboratory of Forest Fire Prevention and the Experiment and Training Base of Forest Fire Prevention.
