From April 19 to 22, 2019, the Sixth National Contest on Logistics Design by University Students co-sponsored by Ministry of Education’s Steering Committee on the Teaching of Logistics Management and Engineering in Higher Educational Institutions and China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing was held in Maanshan, Anhui province. NEFU team, Six-dimension, was a finalist in the contest and won the second prize. NEFU was granted the Best Organization Award.
This contest lasted for 7 months and 568 teams participated. Through the preliminary contests and semi-finals, 90 teams from 76 institutions of higher learning made it to the finals. After the final on-site defense for 2 days, NEFU team, Six-dimension, guided by Li Yang and Ma Chenglin, teachers from the Department of Logistics Engineering of the College of Engineering and Technology and comprised of Li Siping, Chuchu and Zhoumin from the Department of Logistics Engineering, Kan Xingjin from the Department of Industrial Engineering of the College of Engineering and Technology and Li Yi from the Department of Software Engineering of the College of Information and Computer Engineering demonstrated the demeanor of determination, enterprise, innovation and striving. The project “Enjoying the Future on the Synergy of Six Dimensions” designed by NEFU team was unanimously complimented by the experts and awarded the second prize, which marked a historic breakthrough of NEFU in this contest. The contest provides 9 Best Organization Awards altogether. By organizing relevant competitions and activities, NEFU won the approbation of the Ministry of Education’s Steering Committee on the Teaching of Logistics Management and Engineering in Higher Educational Institutions and China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and finally obtained this award.
The National Contest on Logistics Design by University Students is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education’s Steering Committee on the Teaching of Logistics Management and Engineering in Higher Educational Institutions and China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, which is the most professional, authoritative and practicable logistics contest for university students at present and has been included into the “Quality Engineering” project of the Ministry of Education. It has been held for 6 times since 2006.Through providing college students with opportunities to conduct practical activities in enterprises, this contest combines the theoretical learning with the actual demand of corporations so as to cultivate and enhance the research and problem-solving capabilities of students, which is of vital significance to promoting the reform of higher education, cooperation between universities and enterprises and the employment of graduates.
