Recently, China’s ISTIC held the “Conference on the Statistical Results of Chinese Scientific and Technological Papers in 2023” in Beijing. This conference announced the results of the “Sixth Chinese High-quality Scientific and Technological Journals”, and NEFU’s Forestry Research (English) was selected as one of the “Sixth Chinese International High-quality Scientific and Technological Journals.”

ISTIC has undertaken the research tasks related to China’s science and technology journal strategy of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and firstly put forward the concept of the strategy of high-quality science and technology journals in China. In 2008, the results of the first “China High-quality in Science and Technology Journal” and “China Internationalized High-quality Science and Technology Journal” were announced, and since then they have been selected once every three years. “The Sixth Chinese International High-quality Scientific and Technological Journals” selected 27 English-language science and technology journals in various disciplines that are both important and reflect the development stage of the discipline. Forestry Research (English)is the only forestry journal selected.

Forestry Research (English) will continue to publish high-quality and innovative research and be conducive to the development of NEFU as well as enhance its international reputation and influence, making greater contribution to accelerating the dissemination and development of science and technology.
