Representatives from the Australian Institute for Future Education Visit NEFU

On the morning of May 29, Iain Watt, President of the Australian Institute for Future Education (AIFE), Ian Burnett, Dean and President of the Cloud Education Group, and other representatives visited NEFU. Li Mingze, a member of the NEFU’s Party Committee and Vice President, held a meeting with the visiting delegation in the 10th-floor conference room of the Comprehensive Office Building. Attendees from NEFU included leaders from NEFU’s Graduate School, the International Cooperation Office, Aulin College, and the Hainan International College.

Li Mingze outlined NEFU’s overall development and disciplinary structure. He highlighted that NEFU’s strengths and unique disciplines align closely with national goals of ecological civilization building and the growth of new productive forces. Teaching and research activities are supported by two experimental forest farms, utilizing information technology to establish ecological civilization education bases not only for NEFU but also for China. He stated that NEFU attaches great importance to its partnership with AIFE and will continue to promote the development of Hainan International College in accordance with national policies. He hopes both sides can expand their cooperation and achieve mutual benefits based on their existing partnership.

Iain Watt and Ian Burnett introduced AIFE’s overall situation, international credit-bearing courses, graduate training, overseas faculty training, overseas learning centers, and cloud education projects. They expressed a strong interest in cooperating with NEFU to jointly establish an international credit center, overseas learning center, faculty training center, and collaborate on research and graduate education at NEFU's Hainan International College.

The two parties also discussed further collaboration on joint master’s and doctoral programs, as well as the development of cloud campus projects, and reached a consensus on these issues.
