On June 12, NEFU signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) at the 10th-floor conference room of the Comprehensive Building at NEFU. Moving forward, both parties will engage in in-depth cooperation across a range of areas, including studying abroad, international students coming to China, international cooperation, the introduction of overseas talents, innovation and entrepreneurship, academic exchanges, teacher and student exchanges, staff training, and consulting services. Wang Daqian, Party Secretary of the CSCSE, Song Wenlong, President of NEFU, Cao Diefeng, Deputy Director and Party Member of the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province, and Liu Shouxin, Vice President and Party Member of NEFU, attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Liu Shouxin.

Song Wenlong expressed gratitude to CSCSE for its continued support of NEFU and introduced NEFU’s positioning and its recent achievements in international exchanges and cooperation. He expressed hope that with the care, guidance, and support of the CSCSE, NEFU would work hard to improve the quality of its internationalization efforts.

Wang Daqian provided an overview of CSCSE’s key work in areas such as studying abroad, bringing international students to China, and managing archives for overseas students. He looked forward to expanding cooperation areas, innovating collaboration mechanisms, and integrating high-quality domestic and international educational resources, with both parties jointly contributing to the remarkable progress of China’s open education.

Based on the principles of “cultivating moral character, resource sharing, complementary advantages, shared responsibility, and serving society,” both parties established a comprehensive strategic partnership. Song Wenlong and Wang Daqian signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. The agreement clearly outlined areas for cooperation, including promoting collaboration between NEFU and renowned overseas universities, enriching the supply of quality international education resources, and various international education projects.

During the meeting, attendees engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the development of a high-quality overseas student service system and other detailed work aspects.

Song Wenlong emphasized that NEFU’s relevant departments should maintain close contact with CSCSE, stay informed of relevant policies, and, through joint efforts, ensure that the strategic cooperation yields fruitful outcomes, achieving win-win development and injecting new momentum into NEFU’s internationalization efforts.

Relevant personnel from CSCSE’s International Cooperation Division and Office for Study in China, the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province’s Division of International Cooperation and Exchanges, NEFU’s Aulin College, the School of International Education and Exchanges, and the International Cooperation Office also participated in the meeting.
