Recently, the 13th Future Designer Education Forum, the Future Designer: National College Digital Art Design Competition (NCDA), and the Future Designer: National Art and Design Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition concluded in Chengdu. NEFU students and faculty submitted a total of 39 works, which stood out by winning 12 national first prizes, 12 national second prizes, 14 national third prizes, and 1 People’s Choice Award. In the teaching innovation competition, NEFU also received one national second prize and one national third prize. The university further earned the honorary titles of “Outstanding Organization of the National Finals” and “Excellent Competition Region.”

This year’s competition drew nearly 300,000 submissions from over 1,896 universities and more than 2,600 design-related departments nationwide. The entries covered a broad spectrum of categories, including rural design, sustainable design, Metaverse+Design, National Trend and Intangible Cultural Heritage Design (AIGC), visual communication design, interaction design, environmental and urban planning design, industrial product design, virtual IP and emoji design, digital painting, digital photography, teaching cases, and more. NEFU participants worked tirelessly around the clock to perfect their projects, striving for top quality in the competition. After months of careful preparation and refinement, their innovative ideas, excellent design skills, and strong professional expertise earned high praise from the judging panel.

As a highly influential series of events in China’s digital art and design field, including the Future Designer Education Forum, the NCDA, and the National Art and Design Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition, these competitions offer an essential platform for university students and teachers to showcase their work and participate in academic exchange. They effectively improve students’ and teachers’ practical skills and innovative thinking, contributing to the growth of academic disciplines and the development of talent in higher education.
