The 56th Higher Education Expo, China, was held in Qingdao from May 21st to 23rd, and wasorganized by the China AssociationofHigher Education. The6th National Innovation CompetitiononHome-made Experimental Teaching Instruments and Equipment for Teachers in Higher Education was held in the final exhibition area. After online evaluation of the preliminary round, the final evaluation and the final defense, the “Semi-Physical Simulation-based Integrated Experimental Platform for Control and Self-Control” from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering ofNEFU won a second prize in the free design category.
TheInnovation CompetitiononHome-made Experimental Teaching Instruments and Equipment is a national competition, which aims to improve the teaching and research ability of teachers in talent training, and promote the reform and innovation of experimental teaching methods and means in universities. Nearly 1,000 works from more than 140 universities and colleges participated in the preliminary round, and more than 350 outstanding works entered the final round. 13 first prizes, 40 second prizes and several third prizes were selected in the end.
The award-winning equipment of NEFU was jointly funded by the Laboratory Management and Conditions Assurance Office and theCollege of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and was designed by SeniorExperiment technician Xie Yonghua, with the participation of teachers Wang Jincong, Zhou Hongwei and Zhang Pengtao. The equipment was developed based on semi-physical simulation technology, introducing the concept ofelement and discrete, and designed and developed around the undergraduate experimental teaching tasks of “Principles of Automatic Control” and “Computer Control Technology”. The equipment has been applied in the experimental teaching of automation, electrical engineering and its automation, building environment and energy application engineering, mechanical and electronic engineering and other majors inNEFU, andbetterteachingresults have been achieved. Currently, the team is developing the teaching content of “Motion Control System”.
The second prize is the best achievement to date ofNEFU intheNational Innovation CompetitiononHome-made Experimental Teaching Instruments and Equipment for Teachers in Higher Education. Previously, “Atmospheric Pressure Sealed Non-Pollution Dis-integrator” designed by Mr. You Tiexue and Mr. Wu Dedong, and “Single Cable Circulating Fixed Rope Holder ExperimentalRope-ways” designed by Mr. Yang Deling and Mr. Dong Xibin won the third prize in the 4th and 5thcompetitions, respectively.
