On May 26, the 2021 Staff Football Tournament, organized by the Trade Union, was successfully concluded at the stadium ofNEFU after a month-long series of matches. The team from the College of Material Science and Engineering won the championship, the team from the College of Science took second place, and the teams from the College of Humanities and Law and the Logistics Service Corporation took third place.

The football tournament was played under the seven-a-side system, with 15 teams fromdifferent units participating. On April 29, with a whistle, a total of 24 rounds of group round-robin matchesstarted. A total of 8 teams from the College of Material Science and Engineering,theCollege of Science,theCollege ofHumanities and Law,theLogistics Service Corporation, the first trade union of the offices, the second trade union of the offices, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the Asset Management Company stood out in the fierce competition. The eight teams then went through the quarter-final, semi-final and final rounds of competition. During the finals, each team cooperated well, switching instantaneously between attack and defense, celebrating with high-fives when they scored and encouraging each other when they made mistakes. The players galloped on the green field, spilling their passion and sweat, enjoying the fun of the football game, feeling the charm of sports competition, and interpreting the spirit of “unity and hard work, striving for the best” of theNEFU people.

The football match created a healthy and active campus culture and sports atmosphere, andshowed the team spirit and collective collaboration of staff. Asthe whole university celebrated the centenary of the Communist Party of China, the football match demonstrated the tenacity of the staff to overcome the difficulties together withNEFU and brought together the power of struggle for the development ofNEFU.
