On the afternoon of November 3, 2016, accompanied by Duan Yucai, Director of Global Affairs and Cooperation Relationship Department, Australia Education Management Group (AEMG)，and headed by Pro Vice-Chancellor Iain Watt, the UWA delegation visited NEFU to carry on the discussion on the further cooperation. The consultation was held in the No. 8 Conference Room, Administrative Building, and NEFU President Yang Chuanping, Vice President Li Bin and other relevant department heads attended the discussion.

Vice President Li Bin extended warm welcome to the guests, and introduced them to the NEFU participants of the consultation.

President Yang Chuanping gave the welcoming speech, thanked UWA and AEMG colleagues for supporting our work, introduced the guests the basic situation of the school scale, discipline setting, international cooperation, etc., and said he looked forward to starting the substantial cooperation with UWA.

Pro Vice-Chancellor Iain Watt expressed his heartfelt gratitude for our warm reception and said it was nice to see old friends again at NEFU. He briefly introduced the geographical location, distribution of advantageous disciplines at UWA, etc., hoping our cooperation can be further pushed forward.

In the consultation, Vice President Li Bin said that it had been more than one year since his first meeting with Iain Watt, during which the two sides had cooperated in multiple ways. 49 students from NEFU went to UWA to study English language courses in the NEFU-UWA joint educational program. The two universities worked out a credit transfer. NEFU also plans to send young teachers to UWA as exchange visitors. NEFU and UWA are jointly applying for a Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school, and striving to recruit students in 2017.

After the consultation, the college representatives of both universities were divided into five groups, and discussed the details of the cooperation in-depth.
