The Board Conference of the Educational Development Foundation was held in the No. 8 conference room in administration building on December, 20. Wu Guochun, the secretary of the party committee, hosted the conference and the second term board of directors and supervisors of the Educational Development Foundation attended the conference.
President Yang Chuanping expressed the university’s welcome and gratitude to the alumni who are concerned with and support the development of NEFU. He said that the “13th5-year Plan” will enter rapid development in 2017, and NEFU will confront new opportunities and challenges with the construction of a “world class university.” The university will stick to the goal of constructing a world-class university with the hard work of the entire faculty and the support of alumni.
Chen Wenhui, deputy secretary of the party committee and secretary of discipline inspection presented theReport on the Work of the Second Term Directors of the Educational Development Foundationsummarizing the university support, improvement of foundation’s operation and management and the value of social welfare.
The director of the audit department Bai Xuefeng presented theReport on the Work of the Second Term Supervisor of the Educational Development Foundationreporting on the supervision of the foundation, the fund’s approval, the financial situation of foundation, etc.
The conference elected the third term of board members and leaders of the foundation. Wu Guochun, the secretary of the party committee, was selected as the chairman of the board. President Yang Chuanping, deputy secretary of party committee and secretary of the Discipline Committee Chen Wenhui, chief accountant Wu Haiquan, deputy secretary of party community Lin Haibo, and alumni ShenYunxiu were elected as vice presidents. Alumni Zhang Lining, Liu Shujun, Song Jianguo, Wang Fuqiang, Zhang Qixiang, Tang Tiebao, Gu Fengling, Wang Haitao, Zhang Jianpo, Zhou Biao, Huang Dongdong, and head of university office, LuoWenhu were selected as directors. Chen Lisheng, head of the alumni office, was selected as chief secretory. Director of the audit department Bai Xuefeng and director of oversight office Gao Yujuan were selected as supervisors.
The new directors of the foundation discussed the revisedStatute of Educational Development Foundation, adopted the relevant management methods of foundation work, and discussed and adopted theWork Plan of the Third Term Directors of the Foundation.
Alumni who were selected as directors said they were happy to make contribution to the development of NEFU and would advertise and support the foundation. The alumni also put forward a number of proposals to broaden the financing channels to help more economically disadvantaged students.
Wu Guochun, secretary of Party Committee and chairman of the foundation, expressed his gratitude to the trust and support of directors and his responsibility and mission. He said that we must rely on the joint efforts of the university, alumni and social enterprises, and rely on the joint efforts of all the colleagues in the foundation. We would do our best to work together with our colleagues to undertake various jobs of the foundation under the responsibility to the university’s public welfare and donors.
He gave three suggestions: 1. All directors need to work together for the foundation in order to provide greater support to the university’s development of education. 2. Channels of fund raising and scale of foundation should be continuously broadened. 3. Management of the foundation must be based on the law and guidance. The use of funds should strictly in accordance with the provisions of donors.
