An interview group for the first theme publicity activity:Recount Motto Stories, Form Core Values, organized by the Publicity Department of the provincial CPC Committee and the provincial University Work Committee, came to NEFU on April 24th. Reporters from theHeilongjiang Daily, Heilongjiang TV Station, Northeast Website, and Heilongjiang Radio and TV station did in-depth interviews about NEFU’s motto and cultivation stories.
Northeast Forestry University’s motto ofLearn from Nature, Strive for Harmonyreflects the core pursuit of traditional Chinese culture and the rational spirit of modern natural science, embodies the generations of NEFU students to learn from nature, explore the mysteries of the world, and to reveal the spirit of the scientific laws. It represents NEFU’s spirit to pursue truth and harmony, love life, and to work hard.
A meeting on how to use mottos to cultivate students was held in the administration building. During the meeting, Liu Yiwei, dean of the School of Marxism, introduced the origin and essence of NEFU’s motto. Luo Wenhu, director of university’s office, introduced the university’s historical heritage, philosophy and atmosphere carried in the motto. Ai Xifeng, secretary of NEFU Youth League Committee, introduced the implementation of theCultivation Project, which combines with NEFU’s motto. With the combination of research and cultivation, retired professor Zhu Ning from the School of Forestry and vice professor Chen Wenshuai from the College of Material Science and Engineering discussed the motto’s imperceptible influence on teachers and students. Yin Jiangnan, student of the College of Wildlife resources and president of the “Love Birds” Association; Zhou Jiarong, student of the School of Forestry and president of the Green Messenger Association, and Zhang Hanwen, student of the College of Information and Computer Engineering and chairman of the Student Union respectively told their stories on how to contribute to environmental protection and to spread ecological civilization under the influence of the motto. The meeting was held by the vice minister of the Publicity Department of the NEFU CPC Committee Li Hongfeng.
After the interview, theHeilongjiang Dailywill feature theRecount Motto Stories, Form Core Valuescolumn on the front page. Heilongjiang Radio and TV station will broadcast one motto story on theHeilongjiang TV Newseach day. The Northeast Network will publish the motto stories on their website.
