The opening ceremony of the first “Professional Farming Manager Class for the Da Bei Nong Group” cooperation between the College of Wildlife Resources and the Da Bei Nong (Northeast) Group was held in the meeting room 333 of Dongzi Building at 2 p.m. on May 16. Vice President Gao Anxiang and related staff of Da Bei Nong Group, staff from the College of Wildlife Resources, Employment Guidance Center, the Office of Teaching Affairs and all the students of the class participated in the ceremony.
Founded in 1993, the Da bei Nong Group has been committed to promote Chinese modern agricultural development with scientific and technological innovation. The Group covers three areas of livestock science and technology, planting technology, and agricultural Internet, and has now become one of the highest market value agricultural high-tech enterprises among listed companies of agriculture and animal husbandry industry in China. The strategic cooperation between the Group and NEFU will effectively promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the field of production and research, and promote the cooperation in the field of personnel training and scientific and technological research and development as well.
Dean of the College of Wildlife Resources, Professor Zhang Minghai, and Chief Inspector Gu Qingnian jointly signed a school-enterprise cooperation agreement and strategic cooperation agreement. The Party Secretary of the College of Wildlife Resources, Professor Xiao Xianghong, and Gao Anxiang, the Vice President of the Group, signed a donation agreement. According to the agreement, Da bei Nong Group will set up the “Da bei Nong Scholarship”. Professor Xiao Xianghong accepted the check of the first donation of 30,000 RMB on behalf of the college and issued a donation certificate for Vice President Gao Anxiang.
During the opening ceremony, the College of Wildlife Resources also hired Chief Inspector Gu Qingnian as an instructor for innovation and entrepreneurship. At the ceremony, Zhao Jiguang, the Deputy Director of the Employment Guidance Center, issued him a letter of appointment. The Deputy Director of the Office of Teaching Affairs announced the member list for the first “Professional Farming Manager Class for Da Bei Nong Group”, including 18 students of wild animal and nature reserve management, animal science, and animal medicine of 2014.
After the ceremony, Vice President Gao Anxiang conducted the first training course for the trainees. The Group was also known to fully consider the special features of the college and students, and carefully design 26 hours of training content to help students get more business resources and enhance their comprehensive quality, including special training, quality development, inter-school communication and business internships.
On the morning of May 20, the NEFU students in the “Da Bei Nong class” participated in the activity of “Going into Da Bei Nong” with the other three college students from Heilongjiang Province, and participated in the second session of the staff fun games in the Harbin Science and Technology Park. After the games, they attended a lecture entitled “establish a cultural self-confidence, from victory to victory”, and visited the production base of the Group. Through the activities of the day, the students broadened their horizons, and had a better understanding of the enterprise.
