Recently, the results ofthe2017 Heilongjiang Undergraduates Innovation and Business Startup Simulation Competitionwereannounced at Heilongjiang University. Three groups recommended by NEFU were awardedprizes. The Group of traffic engineering (Zhao Shuo, Wang Nengwen, Lü Ziyi) of the College of Traffic won the 1st prize, and the group of business administration (Hou Jie, Wang Zhisheng, Huang Lei, Chen Zekun, Jiao Yibo, Lü Miao) of the College of Economics and Management won two third prizes. Instructors Wu Xiaohong and Xiang Hangbiaowereawardedas top 10 excellent instructors.
The undergraduates Innovation and Business Startup Simulation Competition, which was held by the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province, and hosted by Heilongjiang University, aims to improve students ability to run a business startup, simulate students enthusiasm to start businesses, and to promote students management capacity for start-ups. This competition used the “Star of Business Startup” software, which is produced by Hangzhou Beiteng Technology Co., Ltd, as the platform. A three-person team would manage an enterprise for 4 quarters in a virtual environment. Competitors needed to analyze and operate the design, research, marketing and advertisement of products according to the situation in each quarter. The winners were ranked by their overall score of performances of profits, marketing, investment, and development.
NEFU received the announcement of this competition in early April this year, and the College of Economics and Management undertook trials under the oversight of the Academic Affairs Office. 60 students from 20 teams participated in the trials, with the top three teams being recommended to attended the provincial competition. During the competition, the three groups won honor for NEFU by their flexible methods and meticulously detailed analysis after competing with 160 teams from 59 colleges and universities. This competition not only improved the students' awareness of innovation and business startups, but also showed their learning abilities and hard-working spirits for new things.
