According tothe Notice of Assessment of NEFU’s Engineering Education Major Resultsent by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Engineering Management Major of the NEFU College of Civil Engineering successfully passed the assessment of Engineering Education Major of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the period of validity is four years, from May, 2017 to May, 2021.

The Engineering Management Major of NEFU has enrolled junior college students for this major since 1991, and the Ministry of Education ratified NEFU to establish an undergraduate major in 2000. This major has enrolled undergraduates since 2001. From May15^thto 18^th, experts of the Higher Education Engineering Management Major Assessment Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development inspected the education work of the Engineering Management Major in an all-round way. Experts affirmed the achievements of NEFU. The experts said that NEFU had a perfect teaching management system, a teaching management organization full of integrity, and great teaching quality assurance system. NEFU grasped each teaching link strictly, paid much attention to the entire monitoring procedure, strengthened the examination discipline and students’ status management, and ensured the seriousness of executing teaching plans. The Engineering Management major depends on the education management system of NEFU, and it established professional discipline and teaching in order under the regulatory framework of the teaching program.

The experts especially pointed out the school-running experience and features of this major. First, NEFU paid high attention to undergraduate education and the strong foundation of students’ engineering technology. Second, NEFU paid attention to production, research and learning together, and strengthened the practical ability of teachers and students. Third, the major had the abilities of establishing engineering project management, project cost management, real estate development and management and many other aspects, and also, it had the ability of training talents in multi-fields and high caliber. Fourth, this major strengthened the links of teaching practice and ensured the teaching quality of achievements.
