From Oct. 28 to Oct. 29, the Final of the National BIM Application Skills Competition of Colleges and Universities (undergraduate group), attended by 1029 players from more than 180 universities, was held in Changsha University of Science and Technology. The NEFU team composed of undergraduates from the College of Civil Engineering Management won four first prizes in special competitions and two first prizes in all-around team competitions.
The National BIM Application Skills Competition of Colleges and Universities was sponsored by the China Construction Education Association, and hosted by Changsha University of Science and Technology. It includes the BIM Cost Application Skills Contest and the Contest of BIM Application Skills of Construction Project Management. The competition, through the application of series of BIM software, based on the practical engineering cases, simulated the actual work scene to the great extent, realized BIM collaboration among construction majors of different universities, improved students’ ability to practice and innovate, enhanced the player’s teamwork ability, so as to promote the teaching reform and improve teaching quality.
NEFU’s engineering management major has always attached importance to the cultivation of students’ theoretical learning, practical ability and innovative ability, focusing on improving the comprehensive quality of students. The results of the competition fully reflect the profound strength of the engineering management major and NEFU students’ solid theoretical foundation and practical ability.
