On the morning of November 9th, the executive Vice President of Aston University Saskia Hansen, in charge of the international affairs, paid a visit to NEFU. President Li Bin met with his delegation in the conference room on the eighth floor of the Office Building. The heads of the relevant offices and colleges also attended it.
President Li Bin made a speech of welcome and a brief introduction to NEFU. He said that the current collaboration between NEFU and Aston University had made some progress. And their cooperative education project on engineering management had been submitted to the Ministry of education and was awaiting approval. He hoped that more cooperation would be implemented between the two universities in the areas of economic management, transportation, and biomass energy etc.
Vice President Saskia Hansen introduced the history, scale, education mode of Aston University. She said that Aston University attached great importance to the cooperation with NEFU. She expected that the exchange and discussion could bring good results, effectively promoting the cooperation between the two universities.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the undergraduate and graduate education program on economic management and relevant majors, curriculum design fitness etc. and identified the preliminary intention and content of exchanges between the two universities.
In the afternoon, vice president Saskia Hansen talked with 60 undergraduate students of engineering management, introducing engineering personnel education of Aston University and getting to know the students’ ideas and needs.
Vice President Saskia Hansen was accompanied by Xu Wenhui, senior minister in the Teaching Management Department of the Australia Education Management Group, and Li Na, coordinator of NEFU Project in the Australia Education Management Group.
