On December 2, the awards of the “2017 China National Swimming and Fitness Exercises” were announced in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province. The NEFU swimming pool won the “Outstanding Organization Award” issued by the Swimming Management Center of theGeneralAdministrationofSportsofChina, the China Swimming Association and the China Association of Lifeguards. It is a historic breakthrough for NEFU.
The “National Swimming and Fitness Exercises” initiated by Swimming Management Center of theGeneralAdministrationofSportsofChinais the most popular and influential mass swimming and fitness sporting event in China. In 2017, a total of nearly 500 swimming venues, associations and more than 1 million people nationwide participated in this campaign, setting off a craze for nationwide fitness.
In accordance with the requirements of theGeneral AdministrationofSportsof China, combined with the actual situation in our province and our university, the swimming pool organized practical activities such as “swimming exercise grade standard” free test, deep water swimmer qualification free test, free swimming Training for staff, lifeguard skills competition, rescue drills and other activities, from which more than 1,000 swimming enthusiasts benefited. The swimming pool also teamed up to participate and provided support to the 57th“5 kilometer swimming race for staff” of Harbin, and won third prize in the ten-man race and an outstanding organization award.
The swimming pool receives an average of more than 300,000 swimmers each year. Based on the principle of “Serving teachers and students and facing society”, the swimming pool provides first-class venues and safeguards for swimming teaching and training and public swimming. At the same time, the swimming pool has successfully organized many high-level swimming events, and enjoys a high reputation both inside and outside the province. The swimming pool will make persistent efforts to contribute its own strength to realize the goal of “extensively carrying out fitness activities for all people and accelerating the construction of a sports powerful nation” put forward in the 19th National Congress.
