On the afternoon of May 2, Jennifer Dixon, the Vice President of the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and her team, including Li Xinqing, the President of the Australian Education Management Group, came to NEFU to negotiate on issues of a joint education program. A symposium was then held in the conference room on the 8th floor of the Administration Building.  President Li Bin, Vice President Li Shunlong, and directors of the International Cooperation Department, Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School, College of Information and Computer Engineering, School of Science, School of Forestry, and School of Life Science, attended the symposium.

President Li Bin gave a welcome speech and briefly introduced the situation of our university in personnel training, scientific research, international exchange and cooperation. He said in his speech that he hoped that the Sino-foreign cooperative education institution, which was jointly applied for by NEFU and the University of Auckland, could obtain the approval of the Chinese Ministry of Education so that the two universities could make a deeper cooperation in scientific research and high-level personnel training, starting from undergraduate talent training.

Vice President Jennifer Dixon said that the University of Auckland was looking forward to this cooperation with NEFU and hoped that the two universities would take this precious opportunity to achieve a win-win cooperation. She focused on the big data research platform of Auckland University and invited NEFU to participate in the scientific cooperation of the platform.

During the symposium, representatives from the two universities discussed in detail the joint education program and the personnel training mode. Together, with the Australian Education Management Group, they signed theTrilateral Cooperation Framework Agreement on the Joint Education Program.
