On January 3, 2022, the “Chinese Bridge” online group exchange program - “Exploring the Beauty of Chinese Culture and Ecology”, hosted by the Chinese-Foreign Language Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education and undertaken by the Northeast Forestry University, was held as scheduled. More than 100 students from Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Colombia and other countries gathered online and started their learning journey. Luo Ying, Dean of the School of International Exchange and representatives of relevant teachers attended the opening ceremony.
On behalf of the NEFU, Luo Ying, dean of the School of International Education and Exchanges, extended a warm welcome and New Year greetings to the students who participated in the online winter camp, and expressed sincere gratitude to the Chinese-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education for its strong support to the NEFU. Luo Ying said that “Chinese Bridge” was the “bridge of culture, friendship, and soul” that connected China with the world. She hoped that students could learn about the real China, appreciate and experience the beauty of China, tell Chinese stories to the world, cultivate the awareness of “one family in the world”, and make friends from all over the world through the online learning.
Zhang Wei, the lecturer of the Practical Oral Chinese, said that the Northeast Forestry University was located in Harbin, the “hometown of announcers”, which had a good Chinese learning environment and the most professional Chinese teaching team. In the form of “real-time teaching + video courses + online activities”, students would be led to enjoy the fun of learning Chinese and feel the charm of the Chinese culture.
More than 260 students from 21 countries actively signed up for this winter camp program. Nguyen Kisin from Vietnam and Kuang Wenjie from Bosnia and Herzegovina spoke on behalf of all the trainees. They were full of expectations for the “Chinese Bridge” online winter camp of the Northeast Forestry University, and promised to cherish the precious learning opportunities, abide by the learning discipline, strive to learn more Chinese knowledge, and broaden their international horizons.
