On March 29, the results of the Outstanding Achievement Award for Scientific Research of Communications Education in China were announced. The work “Industry-oriented, Curriculum-driven, Quality-guaranteed, the Exploration and Practice of the Construction of First-class Communications and Transportation Major” by Zhang Wenhui, “the Construction and Practice of the Cultivation System of the Talents in Communications and Transportation Major with both Innovation Ability and Engineering Practice Competence” by Deng Hongxing, and the work “Introduction to the Communications and Transportation Major” by Chu Jiangwei won the first prize of research report, the second prize of teaching reform case and the second prize for textbooks respectively.

The China Institute of Communications Education is a national level academic group with more than 460 members, including Tongji University, Southeast University and Beijing Jiaotong University. A total of 180 awards were granted this time, including 27 first prizes, 45 second prizes, and 108 third prizes, out of more than 500 entries. The NEFU College of Traffic and Transportation focuses on the demand for talents to build a strong transportation country, continually carries out the construction of first-class majors and reforming teaching methods to improve the quality of undergraduate education. The awards NEFU won represent the recognition from the education industry of the communications and transportation majors in China, and will further motivate the College of Traffic and Transportation to carry out in-depth education research and comprehensively improve the quality of the undergraduates training.
