Recently, the winning list of the 2021 National Youth Mock Political Consultative Conference Proposal Contest was announced by the Equity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Secretariat of the All-China Students’ Federation. The “Proposal on Resolving Problems in Nursery Services and Improving the Quality of Child Care” submitted by Li Sixuan and other students from the School of Humanities and Lawstood out from the rest and became the only selected work from Heilongjiang province among 46 works selected from colleges and universities nationwide.

The “Proposal on Resolving Problems in Nursery Services and Improving the Quality of Child Care” focuses on the hot-button issues such as the declining fertility rate and young people's lack of willingness to conceive children, deeply analyzes the roots of the problem in nursery service, and puts forward some practical measures to rectify the child care market, encourages schools to implement universal care services and the community to construct the child care facilities. The proposals are highly targeted and of positive significance to enhance young people's willingness to conceive children, improve the demographic structure and contribute to sustainable economic and social development.

The 2021 National Youth Mock Political Consultative Conference Proposal Contest aims to guide the youth to understand China's political system, participate in political life in an orderly manner, perceive the advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and enhance institutional self-confidence, and has been held for three consecutive sessions. 111,000 young people participated in 2021, and 100 outstanding works were selected, including 46 works from colleges and universities. The Youth League Committee of NEFU always attaches great importance to this and keeps extensive mobilization and participation, and has been awarded "Excellent Organization Unit" for two consecutive years in 2019 and 2020.
