In order to enhance the innovation ability and intellectual property rights (IPR) protection awareness of teachers and students, protect their independent innovation achievements, and foster an IPR culture that respects knowledge, advocates innovation, values integrity, follows the law, and competes fairly, NEFU held The IPR Awareness Week with the theme of “Embarking a New Journey of Building Intellectual Property Rights Power in All Respects” from April 20 to 26. The event was held in the context of fighting against the epidemic. By using online platform for publicity, communicating knowledge to teachers and students, and providing services for them, the activity attracted the active participation of both teachers and students.
An online IPR publicity exhibition was held. Eleven IPR electronic panels were displayed online, including popular-science lecture on IPR day, an introduction on a series about IPR knowledge, IPR search and inquiry methods, and IPR examination methods. Using simple language and supplemented with examples, the contents of the exhibition were detailed and vivid, featured with relevance, uniqueness and professionalism.
Initial IPR examination services have begun. As the first batch of fast preliminary IPR examination service applicants, our library fully explained the service to our teachers and students, combed through the service process for them, helped qualified teachers and students apply for preliminary IPR examination service, shortened the IPR examination period, and boosted responsive authorization.
Personalized IPR service activities were conducted. For research teams, we provided reservation service for “IPR Workshop Activities”. In view of the personalized needs of teachers and students for IPR training services, we provided IPR training reservation service. We held online live streaming for teachers and students to guide them on the declaration of the national honor, “China Patent Award”.
The Northeast Forestry University branch of China IPR Distance Education provided a variety of IPR online courses for teachers and students. During the epidemic, teachers and students in our school were given access to learn knowledge about IPR through this platform.
The Library also paid the official fees related to the protection of IPR. During the epidemic, in order to cope with the payment difficulty of teachers and students, the library insisted on paying official fees for them, and has paid more than 100 times, which greatly facilitated the research work of teachers and students.
Over the course of the campaign, publicity and consultation activities in IPR Awareness Week were successfully carried out. Teachers and students of our school consulted on IPR related questions by telephone, email, QQ, etc., and more than 30 questions from readers were answered every day.
