In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on postgraduate education, accelerate the close integration of postgraduate education with real-world experience, social needs, and agricultural and rural development, and deepen the integration of government, industry, academia and research personnel training, on October 26, NEFU and the leading enterprises of Heilongjiang Shangzhi and Yabuli Black Fungus held a joint postgraduate “Science and Technology Backyard” base signing and awarding ceremony. Liu Jiuqing, member of the party committee of the university and dean of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Wang Xinzheng, vice dean of the Graduate School, Zou Li, professor of the College of Forestry, and Yang Chunmei, professor of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Wang Xinzheng.
As representatives of NEFU, Liu Jiuqing and Wang Shuhai signed the agreement of "Science and Technology Backyard" and joint training base for graduate students, and awarded the plaque for the base. Both sides briefly reviewed the progress and achievements made in recent years in personnel training, university-enterprise cooperation, scientific research, technological innovation, service to Heilongjiang, and expressed the beautiful vision of high-quality construction of the "Science and Technology Backyard" and building a beautiful countryside together.
Recently, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Chinese Association for Science and Technology jointly issued the “Notice on Supporting the Construction of a Number of Science and Technology Backyards”, and a total of five “Science and Technology Backyards” for agricultural masters were approved for construction. The “Science and Technology Backyard” is a postgraduate training model and science and technology service platform that organically combines talent training, science and technology innovation and social service, aiming to guide postgraduates to be rooted in the front line of agriculture and rural areas, research and solve practical problems in agricultural and rural production practices, write papers, train and create a large number of people who can stay, use, understand agriculture, appreciate rural areas and farmers. The university has placed great importance on the construction of “Science and Technology Backyard” postgraduate training model and science and technology service platform, and continues to deepen and expand the channels of students’ practice and employment, and constantly strengthens the synergy and innovation with the government, social organizations, enterprises and research institutions, and strives to deepen cooperation and achieve win-win results in the fields of rural revitalization, talent training, scientific research and transformation of achievements.
