From October 22 to 23, NEFU held the second ecological civilization education activity. More than 500 freshmen from the College of Economics and Management participated in the activity in the Maoershan Experimental Forest Farm.

The activity was organized by the Office of Academic Affairs. In accordance with our university’s goal of ecological civilization education activitiesProtecting Green Waters and Lush Mountains, Constructing Strong Ecological Shelter, Bravely Undertaking the Green Missions and Building a Beautiful China, the activity was themed as Forest Aesthetics and Beautiful China. Based on the activity theme, the spirit of NEFU and the four virtues of forests, more than 30 experts and teachers from the School of Forestry, the College of Wildlife and Protected Areas, the School of Marxism, the School of Economics and Management and Heilongjiangs provincial leading group office of natural education designed and conducted a series of teaching activities, such as Ecosystem and Human Life, Forest Carbon Sink and Career Life, Forest Research and Health Care, Four Store Functions of Forests etc.

The students participated in more than 200 activities which were carried out in the forest and grasslands. Some students said that they had a deeper feeling of the beauty and majesty of nature, and the NEFU spirit cultivated their character and enhanced their determination to take the responsibility of guarding the green waters and lush mountains and constructing the strong ecological shelter. Many students took beautiful pictures of the natural scenes they encountered, saying that the activities cultivated their interest in trees and plants, and stimulated their emotions of respecting nature, revering nature and loving nature. Many students also made new friends during the activities, which has further increased the communication between students and given them opportunity to appreciate the beauty of teamwork.
