Recently, the final of the 10th China TRIZ Cup College Innovation Competition, jointly sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology, came to an end at Harbin Engineering University. A total of 21 entries from NEFU were selected from a total of 2,145 entries from 296 colleges and universities, winning one first prize, six second prizes and 14 third prizes. NEFU also got the Excellent Organization Award.

The theme of this year’s TRIZ Cup was “Firm Innovation Confidence and Improve Self-Reliance”, and from NEFU, the project Solar-powered Water Surface Garbage Collection Robot won a first prize, and six projects including A Super High Performance Concrete Prefabricated Component Based on TRIZ Theory won second prizes. Third prizes were awarded to 14 projects including A New Type of Straw Oil-absorbing Material Based on TRIZ Theory. Fu Min won the honorary title Excellent Instructor and Xie Shengyu won the honorary title Excellent Liaison.

Since the competition started in August, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship has provided guidance and services to the student teams, offering a solid guarantee for the quality of the works.
