According to the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) released by Clarivate on June 28, the Journal of Forestry Research (English Edition) ranked 14/69 in the JCR Forestry discipline, and entered Q1 for the first time, achieving a historic breakthrough and ranking among the international excellent journals.
JCR is a journal evaluation tool released by the US ISI (Institute of Scientific Information), which reflects the importance of journals based on journal citation data. SCI journals of various disciplines are divided into four areas (Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4) according to their impact factor (IF), and the journals in the Q1 area are the ones with the top 25% (including 25%) impact factor. The Journal of Forestry Research (English Edition) is an English academic journal that is cultivated and developed by NEFU. It mainly reports the academic achievements in forest genetics, tree physiology, afforestation, forest soil, forest hydrology, forest management, forest ecology, restoration ecology, forest fire, forest pests, forest engineering, wildlife ecology and management, and wood science. Since its inclusion in the SCI database in 2013, the Journal of Forestry Research has been awarded the title of China's Most Internationally Influential Academic Journal for 8 times, obtaining funds from multiple national level journal construction projects. It was selected into the China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan Project (20192023) organized by seven ministries and commissions including the China Association for Science and Technology in 2019, becoming a key journal supported and cultivated by China. It won the Second Heilongjiang Provincial Publishing Award in 2021, and was sponsored by the Heilongjiang Provincial Excellent Publishing Project Award Project by the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in 2022.
