NEFU Signs Cooperation Agreement with Russia’s All-Russian Research Institute of Hunting and Animal Breeding

On the afternoon of October 14th, the signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between Northeast Forestry University (NEFU) and the All-Russian Research Institute of Hunting and Animal Breeding was held in Room 1008 of NEFU’s Administrative Building. NEFU President Song Wenlong and the research institute's Director Domskiy attended the ceremony and signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

Before the signing ceremony, the two sides held a meeting for detailed discussions. President Song warmly welcomed Director Domskiy and his delegation, while also presenting the university’s development and its successes in collaborating with Russian institutions. He mentioned that the All-Russian Research Institute of Hunting and Animal Breeding has achieved significant progress in hunting management, livestock development, wildlife breeding, and protected area research. He highlighted that the institutes research areas closely align with several disciplines at NEFU and expressed hope for practical cooperation, including faculty and research exchanges and the creation of joint research platforms.

Director Domskiy expressed his gratitude for NEFU’s warm reception and provided an overview of the institute’s history, main research areas, and key accomplishments. He highlighted that the institute has internationally recognized strengths in its disciplines and saw great potential for collaboration with NEFU in biodiversity conservation and regional wildlife studies. He mentioned that he looks forward to combining the strengths of both sides to achieve meaningful breakthroughs in joint research.

Following the meeting, both parties jointly signed the Cooperative Research Agreement between Northeast Forestry University and the All-Russian Research Institute of Hunting and Animal Breeding named after Professor Zhitkov.

This visit further reinforced mutual trust between the two institutions and established a strong foundation for advancing multi-level and in-depth scientific cooperation under the new agreement.
