Recently, students from Northeast Forestry University (NEFU) achieved outstanding results at the 18th National College Student Advertising Art Competition, winning seven national-level awards, including one First Prize and six Awards of Excellence. Among them, “A Little Straw, a Lot of Childhood Fun,” created by Huang Jin, an Advertising major under the guidance of Yang Wanjing, a faculty member of the School of Humanities and Law, won the National First Prize in the Print Advertising category. This marks a historic breakthrough for NEFU students in the competition’s Print Advertising category.
The National College Student Advertising Art Competition is listed in the National Catalog of Discipline Competitions for Undergraduate Students at Regular Higher Education Institutions. As a Class A national-level discipline competition, it is among the largest and most widely participated-in university competitions in China, spanning a broad range of higher education institutions and enjoying significant social influence. After successive rounds of selection at the university and provincial levels, seven NEFU entries advanced to the national competition and ultimately received awards.
The outstanding results in this competition fully demonstrate the effectiveness of NEFU’s practice-oriented teaching approach of “promoting teaching through competition.” The award-winning works not only showcase the participating students’ and teachers’ outstanding abilities and solid expertise in creative conceptualization and artistic expression, but also reflect NEFU’s strong commitment to and active promotion of high-quality education and practical innovation in advertising and related disciplines. Through their participation in the competition, NEFU students demonstrated their professional knowledge, practical skills, teamwork, and overall capabilities.
