About the speaker:
Dr. Ki Sun Kim is a professor at the Department of Flowers and Landscape Plants at Seoul National University, Korea. He is also the President of the Korean Horticultural Society, the President of the Korea Urban Agriculture Society, the President of the Korean Lawn Society, and the President of the Korea Flower Industry Development Association.
Doctor Kim received his bachelor degree in Horticulture from Seoul National University in 1978 and his Ph.D. in Agriculture from Texas A&M University in 1987. He has worked at Texas A&M University, Aalsmeer Flower Research Center in the Netherlands, Michigan State University and Seoul National University. He is mainly engaged in hydroponic cultivation of flower crops, flowering physiology and growth control of flower crops, development and utilization of Korean wild flowers, and turfgrass science. In the past five years, he has published more than 40 SCI papers and is an internationally renowned expert in horticulture.
