Topic: Assembly of Cellulose Mesoporous Electrolyte Membrane and Flexible Conductive Energy Storage Composites under Ionic Liquid Control

Speaker: Zhao Dawei

Time: 1:40 p.m., June 17, 2017

Venue: Room 604, Gongcheng Building

About the speaker: Zhao Dawei is a 2014 doctoral student of Biomass Composites in the College of Material Science and Engineering, mainly engaged in research of the efficient dissolution and regeneration of cellulose in ionic liquid. As the first completer, he has developed a new strategy which showed excellent performance on preparation of renewable and biodegradable cellulose mesoporous electrolyte membranes, and successfully applied it to flexible solid-state supercapacitors and microcapacitors. The relevant research results ware published inAdvanced Energy Materialsperiodical. In addition, a supramolecular assembly and polymerization strategy of cellulose and 3, 4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) have been proposed by him to produce supramolecular assembly to form molecular segments and network frameworks and induce the situ Polymerization of PEDOT: PSS and uniform film formation, which can significantly improve the film forming, flexibility and mechanical stability of PEDOT. On this basis, a multi-walled carbon nanotube reinforced cellulose/PEDOT: PSS composite membrane electrode material with excellent electrochemical properties was also developed by him, and related research results were published inACS Applied Materials & Interfacesperiodical.
