About the Speaker

He Shubing received her Ph. D. in education from the University of Hong Kong. She is the Director of the Teaching Development Center at the Hong Kong Polytech University. She has 30 years of experience in promoting teaching and teachers’ development. Her main research fields are achievement-based teaching, university teachers’ development, and the development of College Students’ learning ability etc. She has hosted several large research and development projects, published more than 30 papers and developed a series of innovative methods and resources. She has been repeatedly invited to give keynote speeches in many international and regional education conferences held in Europe, Australia, Malaysia and China. More than 30 universities in mainland China, Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao invited her to conduct consultancy or teachers’ training. She also serves as the reviewer in the Research Grants Council of Hongkong and a number of international review magazines, includingHigher Education,Higher Education Research & Development,International Journal for Academic Developer,Studies in Educational Evaluation, andAsia-Pacific Education Researcheretc.
