About the speaker:

Dr. Liu Lang is a dentist expert and senior veterinarian, who in 1993 began to engage in small animal clinical work. He is one of the founders and sponsors of Beijing Companion Animal Hospital, the Asia-Pacific Region Small Animal Veterinarians Association, and Beijing Stray Animal Sterilization Charity. He is currently the director of the Beijing Small Animal Diagnostic Industry Association, vice president of the Chinese Veterinary Association Pet Medicine Branch, president of the Asian Small Animal Veterinary Association. In addition he is a visiting professor of the Beijing Agricultural Vocational College, guest researcher of Research Center for Animal Protection Law of the Northwest University of Political Science and Law, and master’s supervisor of Beijing Agricultural College. Dr. Liu has received the Beijing Veterinary Industry Special Contribution Award and the China Top Ten Outstanding Veterinary Award, and has participated in many international veterinary academic conferences.

As an expert in small animal surgery, dental and various difficult disease diagnosis and treatment, Dr. Liu Lang has accumulated nearly 10,000 cases of dental cases. He began to focus on small animal dental diseases in 2005 and studied with Mr. Pitt Emily, who is known as the father of dentistry in the United States. He has also introduced the most advanced small animal dental equipment, promoted the development of small animal’s dentistry and its professional knowledge dissemination in China, and trained a group of professional dental personnel, which filled the gaps in Chinese small animal dentistry.

Dr. Liu Lang is the first in China to carry the cat's chronic gingival stomatitis tooth extraction, dogs and cats’ mouth nasal fistula flap repair, disposable root canal therapy, animal dental crown preparation and dogs and cats’ dental implant as a professional dentist. Moreover, he presided over the translation ofSmall Animal Dental Technology MapandCat's Dentistryto fill the gaps in the small animal dental technical information in China.
