About the Reporter
Sang Ying, female, is a doctor and lecturer. Her research focuses on plant water physiology and ecology, including stem sap flow and xylem hydraulic conductivity, principles of water transport in plants, cohesion and tension theory and root pressure.She teaches Soil Science, Soil and Soil Resources and other courses. She participated in one project sponsored by the12thFive-year PlanNational Science and Technology Support Program, one project sponsored by the Forestry Public Welfare Industry Program and three projects by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). She has published more than ten academic papers, compiled 3 books and teaching materials. She won the third prize of Liang Xi Forestry Science and Technology Award. In 2013, she was subsidized by CSC and NEFU to study and research as a postdoctoral visiting scholar in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biologyof UCSCfor one year.

Yang Guang, female, born in 1980, is a doctor, associate professor and master supervisor. Her research focuses on forest fire prediction, post-disaster loss assessment etc.She presided over one Youth Project of NSFC, one project sponsored by the948 Programof the State Forestry Administration, one project by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and one project by the Heilongjiang Postdoctoral Scientific Research Fund. She also participated in eight projects sponsored by the11thand 12thFive-year PlanNational Science and Technology Support Programs, Forestry Public Welfare Industry Program and the948 Programof the State Forestry Administration. She has published over 10 articles at core journals all over the world, 2 monographs and been mandated 4 patents. She has won a second prize of National Higher Education and Teaching Achievement Award, a first prize of Heilongjiang Higher Education and Teaching Achievement Award and a first prize and two second prize of Liang Xi Forestry Science and Technology Award. She was sponsored by the Chinese government to pay an academic visit to Kangwon National University, Korea for a period of 6 months from May, 2013 to November, 2013.
