1.Double Degree Program withUniversity of Western Australia

The University of Western Australia (UWA) is internationally recognized as an excellent research-intensive university. In 2016, it was ranked 95 in the US News Global Universities Ranking, 96 in ARWU and 125 in The Times Global Universities Ranking. In the 2016 QS World University Rankings by Discipline, Marine Science ranked 30, Mining Engineering ranked 33, Civil Engineering ranked 37, and Agriculture and Forestry ranked 38. In addition, English and Cultural Studies,History, Linguistics, Chemical Engineering, Accounting, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and other subjectsarealso among the top 100 programs in the world.

Northeast Forestry University and University of Western Australia have agreed on credit transfer and accumulation system in 2016. Based on this system, the two universities have embarked a variety of international transfer programs, such as 2+2 and 3+2 double degree programs, covering 24majors in Economy and Management, Arts and Humanities, Engineering and Natural Sciences.

2.“3+1+1” Joint Education Program withUniversity of Colorado, Denver, USA

Founded in 1876, the University of Colorado, Denver is one of the nation’s top public urban research universities. Northeast Forestry University and University of Colorado, Denver signed a cooperative agreement in November of 2011, and have embarked on a “3+1+1” program in the autumn of the same year. Until now, a total of over 40 students have been sent to study in the USA. After finishing first 3 years of undergraduate studies in the College of Civil Engineering, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Traffic College or the College of Information and Computer Engineering at NEFU, students from these colleges can continue their last year of undergraduate studies at University of Colorado, Denver. They can earn parts of postgraduate credits from University of Colorado, Denver at the same time. Courses for which credit has been awarded at each university will be accepted in both universities. Students who meet the requirements of graduation can earn bachelor’s degrees from NEFU after these 4 years. These students then can apply for postgraduate courses at the University of Colorado, Denver if they meet the credit and language requirements. Master’s degrees can be achieved after one year of successful study.

3. “3+1+1” Joint Education Program withUniversity of New Brunswick, Canada

With a history of 230 years,the University of New Brunswick (NB) has among the best student-to-faculty ratios of Canada’s comprehensive universities. Northeast Forestry University and the University of New Brunswick signed an agreement and began a “3+1+1” Joint Education Program in 2014. In Northeast Forestry University, third-year undergraduate students majoring in Forestry, Geographical Information Science, and those in special “talented” classes can apply for the program. The University of New Brunswick offers multiple scholarships for those students during the process of study in Canada.

4. Joint Education Program with ESB Group, French Engineering School in Wood Science and Technology

ESB Group, an French Engineering School in Wood Science and Technology was founded in 1934. This Engineering school specialized in Wood Science and Technology, is a non-profit institute under the supervision of the French Ministry of Agriculture and Higher Education and aConférence des grandes écoles member. It is also the first international school cooperates with Northeast Forestry University. Undergraduate students from NEFU who major in Wood Science and Engineering, Chemical Industry of Forest Products and other related programs can apply for the joint education program. Students are able to study in ESB for 3-4 years (including 1 year of intensive French learning), if they pass the exams organized by ESB and French level test by French Embassy in China. Students can earn a Bachelor’s Degree from NEFU as well as a Master’s Degree from ESB after graduation.

5. Double Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree Program with University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis, France

The University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis is a comprehensive university, closely cooperating with developed local industries. The university not only supports the development of local industries, but also provides students with good hands-on work opportunities. Northeast Forestry University and the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis signed a cooperative agreement in 2014. In NEFU, third-year undergraduate students from 15 related programs in the College of Forestry, the College of Science, the College of Information and Computer Engineering, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Traffic College, or the College of Material Science and Engineering can apply to study in France. Students gain double Bachelor’s degrees from NEFU and University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis, upon successful completion of all exams. In addition, this agreement also enables fourth-year undergraduate students from NEFU to apply for master’s degree courses at the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis, and gain a Master’s Degree from the French University after graduation.
