On June 10th, 2021, China Engineering Education Accreditation Association (CEEAA) issuedNotice on the Announcement of the Accreditation Conclusions of 305 such as Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang University(CEEAA(2021) No.13),the conclusion of the national engineering education accreditation in 2020. Through school self-evaluation, professional certification committee examination and verification, panel site inspections and concluding deliberations, 305 majors have earned accreditation nationwide. Both mechatronic engineering andchemical engineering and technology of NEFU have gained accreditation, and the period of validity is 6 years (from Jan. 2021 to Dec. 2026). Until now, 13 of NEFU have passed the accreditation and pilot evaluation of CEEAA, and that number is far ahead among the agricultural and forestry universities in China.
Gaining accreditation indicates that the quality of specialty building has achieved international effective equivalence, entering the first level of global engineering education, and providing an international unified pass for students in those majors to go to the world.
Participating in the accreditation is an important step for NEFU to consolidate building. It aims to strengthen through assessment, pursue excellence, update the educational concept, highlight student-centered and result-oriented philosophy and make continuous improvement. In the future, NEFU will continue to focus on accreditation, make definite speciality quality criteria, strengthen specialty construction with characteristics, and give full play to theleadingand demonstrationrole of those accredited specialities to promote its“Double First” construction.
