The 11th “CP Cup” National University Student Market Survey and Analysis Competition was co-sponsored by the Teaching Steering Committee of Statistics in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education and the Commerce Statistical Society of China, in which the undergraduate group’s final was held in Henan Universityon May 30, and the postgraduate group final in Yunnan Universityon May 16. With outstanding professional knowledge, harmonious cooperation and excellent performance, our teachers and students have achieved good results again. For instance, 14 teamsunder the guidance of Lv Jiehua, Hao Lili, Jiang Yu and Wang Wei,theteachersof EconomicStatistics in the NEFUCollege of Economics and Management , won2 nationalfirst prizes,2 national second prizes and10 national third prizes at the national level.Therefore, the undergraduate andpostgraduate students majoring inEconomicStatistics have made outstanding achievements in the discipline competitions.

This year’s competition lasted for 8 months, and there were 650 schools with 106,000 students participating, including 83 Project 985 or Project 211 universities and565 colleges and universities participating in the undergraduate group. After the online examination of knowledge contest, the selection at the university level, the enterprise proposition contest and the selection at the provincial level, 208 teams from 124 schools in China finally participated in the national finals of undergraduate group. It’s worth noting thatNEFU’s3 undergraduate and 1 postgraduate teams stood out and successfully entered the national finals.

The National University Student Market Survey and Analysis Competition is a public welfare professional competition for college students in China, sponsored by the Teaching Steering Committee of Statistics in Colleges and Universities of the MOE and CSSC, which has been included in the 2014-2018 academic competition list of the MOE, and is the first-class national competition in China. It is also a practical teaching platform of statistics supported by the government, recognized by enterprises, actively participated by teachers and students in colleges and universities, and highlyinteracted betweenboth sides of the Taiwan Straits.
