OnApril 17th, a meeting was held atNEFU to prepare for the conclusion of the 13thfive-yearkeyresearch anddevelopmentproject “Research on Key Technologies for Prevention and Control of Major Disasters in Plantations”,topic 5, “PlantationFireMonitoring andEarlyWarning,KeyFireFightingTechnology, andFireFightingEquipmentResearch andDevelopment”, which was organized by Professor Sun Long oftheNEFU School of Forestry. The sub-project leaders and key members participating in this meetingcame from Northeast Forestry University, the Chinese Academy of Forestry Institute of ForestEcological Environment and Protection, Beihua University, and Heilongjiang Forest Protection Research Institute.

At the meeting, Professor Yang Guang of Northeast Forestry University, Lecturer Hu Tongxin of Northeast Forestry University, Professor Shan Yanlong of Beihua University and Researcher Sun Jiabao of Heilongjiang Forest Protection Research Institute reported on theprojectcompletion,the significant achievements,the project fundingimplementationand theconcludingpreparation of their respective sub-topics.

Professor Sun Long, the project leader, gave full affirmation to the project completion and the achievements output, and made arrangements for the next phase of project conclusion, in terms of significant achievements, site inspection, financial audit and data submission, which laid a solid foundation to ensure the conduct and completion of the project with high quality.
