The annual “FLTRP Cup” English Writing Contest was held in the Beijing FLTRP International Convention Centre on Dec. 9, 2016. The competitors came from 30 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. After hot competition, Chi Minglu, an English major student from the College of foreign languages, Northeast Forestry University, has won the third prize.

In 2016, the five major contests of FLTRP are jointly organized by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, the College Foreign Language Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education, ELT Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education, and the National Research Center for Foreign Language Education. These foreign language contests have cultivated international professionals with comprehensive foreign language ability, diversified international outlook and high responsibility and patriotism.

Chi Minglu won both the school-level and provincial-level contests, and finally went to Beijing to participate in the contest on behalf of Heilongjiang Province. Chi has won honor for NEFU and Heilongjiang Province and fully showed the outstanding talents of NEFU students.
