On May 18th, the symposium of the National Intellectual Property Training (Heilongjiang) Base was held at the library of NEFU. The training base plaque handover ceremony at the symposium marked the official move of the base located in the Mao’ershan Experimental Forest Farm to the NEFU main campus library.

Zhang Yi, Deputy Director of Heilongjiang Intellectual Property Office, and Zhao Yusen, Vice-President of NEFU, attended the symposium. The relevant people in charge from both the Heilongjiang Intellectual Property Office and NEFU also attended the symposium.

To strengthen the construction of intellectual property personnel, national intellectual property training bases are set up by the State Intellectual Property Office. In April 2011, the National Intellectual Property Training (Heilongjiang) Base settled in the Mao’ershan Experimental Forest Farm of NEFU. This is the 12th training base, and the only one in Heilongjiang Province. As the infrastructure and faculty of the main campus has improved, the Mao’ershan Experimental Forest Farm and the NEFU president’s office decided to move the base to the library in December 2016.

At the symposium, Deputy Director Zhang Yi introduced the overall situation of the national intellectual property training bases, and affirmed the achievements of the training base in Heilongjiang. Zhang Yi said that the Heilongjiang Intellectual Property Office would increase the support for training projects, funding, faculty construction and other aspects in order to jointly build the base for the cause of the intellectual property training in Heilongjiang Province.

Vice President Zhao Yusen first introduced the work on intellectual property rights in NEFU. He said that NEFU would further increase support for the base. We will take the base as a platform, integrate various resources of NEFU, and establish a multi-disciplinary collaboration to promote development. According to the innovation-driven strategy and national intellectual property strategy, we will carry out personnel training objectives. Based on the service of economic and social development and the revitalization of the northeast old industrial base, we will carry out various types of intellectual property training, and strive to build an intellectual property senior talent training base with the characteristics of NEFU over the next three years.

After the symposium, Vice President Zhao Yusen accompanied Deputy Director Zhang Yi and other relevant people to tour the library.
