The 5th National Undergraduate Engineering Training Integration Ability Competition, held by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, ended in Hefei University of Technology on May, 14. A total of 100 delegations, coming from 94 universities in 25 provinces and cities, participated in this competition. Even though NEFU’s delegation did not achieve a good result on the first of day of the competition, they bravely changed their strategy, and finally achieved the second national prize after difficult competitions with many skillful competitors.

With a great influence among China’s undergraduate technology innovation competitions, the National Undergraduate Engineering Training Integration Ability Competition is a public welfare activity, funded by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China. It aims to enhance undergraduate ability to innovate and practice, and to improve the level of undergraduate education and the quality of talent training.

The NEFU delegation consisted of students from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and was strongly supported by the office of academic affairs, engineering teaching and practicing training center, and the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. The delegation achieved an outstanding result in the provincial competition,andwas recommended by the Heilongjiang Ministry of Education to take part in the national competition.

Composed of Li Zheng, Han Sichuan, Gao Shuai, the NEFU delegation showed our courageous spirits, and proved that our students do not become dizzy with success, nor be discouraged by failure. During the competition, theyinsisted on teamwork, tackling difficulties in extremely unfavorable circumstances, and relying on their collective power. They revealed the excellent comprehensive quality ofNEFUstudents by fully exerting their professional skills.
