Recently, according to the Ministry of Education’sNotice of the Results of Accreditation of 205 Majors such as DUT’s Process Equipment & Control Engineering Major(CEEA[2017] No. 18), the NEFU Automation major has smoothly passed the accreditation of CEEA, and is valid for three years, from January 2017 to December 2019.
In 2016, China officially joined theWashington Protocol.In accordance with the requirements of the accreditation procedure, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering submitted theSelf-evaluation Report on Accreditation of the Automation Majorin March 2016, and was approved. The expert group of the China Engineering Education Accreditation Association conducted a site inspection from November 20, 2016 to November 23, 2016. By listening to the report, inspecting the teaching facilities, accessing supporting materials, and having interviews and lectures, etc., they carried out a comprehensive examination, and spoke highly of the major construction.
Accreditation work is a key work promoted by our university in recent years. The university leaders have attached great importance to the accreditation of the automation major, and held many seminars, coordination meetings, report self-assessment meetings and accreditation training meetings, publicizing engineering education accreditation concepts and helping to advance and improve the work. The College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, together with the Assessment Center, the Office of Academic Affairs, and other relevant functional departments with the full support of the relevant colleges, successfully passed the accreditation.
The automation major is another accredited major after the civil engineering major passed the accreditation of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development (early, re-evaluation). It marks the fact that the engineering majors of our university have entered a new stage of rapid development, and it also provides successful experiences for the construction and development of other engineering majors. During the launching of the new development of engineering major construction, our accreditation work will be propelled in accordance with the principle of “overall planning, step by step implementation, and focus on breakthroughs” to help the engineering major construction reach a new level.
