On the evening of June21st, 2017, the Harbin Symphony Orchestra brought NEFU an audio-visual feast of refined art at the science hall. The chapters of this performance mainly included waltz, Polka, and concerto. Styles of the chapters were various, and musicians led the audience in entering a wonderful musical world and made audience feel the deep wonder from the symphony.

At the beginning of the performance, the Ode to Red Flag celebrated the prosperity of our great nation, and the exciting song resounded through science hall. After that, the Conductor, Mr. Zhang Jingfeng, introduced the great history of the first symphony orchestra in China, Harbin Symphony Orchestra, and he also popularized much knowledge which is related to the symphony. In the following performances, Dance of Swans, Neapolitan Dance and Spanish Dance of “Swan Lake” series brought spiritual baptism to the audience. Some were soothing and sentimental, some were light and funny, and others were enthusiastic. The ups and downs of dance music could be called “perfect”. The whole performance had one climax after another, and applause resounded through science hall.

During the interactive part, the Conductor, Mr. Zhang Jingfeng, introduced various elements of the symphony orchestra. When introducing the percussion section, Mr. Zhang Jingfeng had great originality. He played cymbals on the spot, which won the cheers of audience. Musicians also used the tremolo of kettledrum to match sickle, which stimulated strong wind, thunderstorm and lightning of nature vividly and was profuse in audience’s praise. In the interim, musicians asked students some knowledge mentioned before, in order encourage the students’ knowledge of music and promote musical accomplishments.

With a warm applause, Mr. Zhang Jingfeng stood on the stage again and performed an encore: cancan and the Good News of Beijing to Border. As the ending of the show, the Good News of Beijing to Border was full of Chinese style, which brought happiness and unforgettable memories to the audience.
