On the morning of July 12, Ian, the Executive Dean from the College of Engineering and Applied Science in Aston University, and others visited NEFU. A forum was held at No. 8 Conference Room, Administrative Building. The Vice President of NEFU, Li Shunlong, Vice Dean from the College of Civil Engineering, Cheng Donghui, Deputy Director of Teaching Affairs Office, Liu Zhiming and some staff members from other related departments attended this forum.  

The Vice President, Li Shunlong gave a welcome speech and introduced NEFU briefly. He said that Mr. Ian from Aston University was the first visitor for discussing the international cooperation with NEFU after NEFU’s 65thSchool Anniversary. He wished the two universities could achieve cooperation in engineering and created a win-win situation of culture exchange and training talents.

The Executive Dean, Ian, introduced the location, ideas on school management, and styles on training talents of Aston University. He thought that, from the perspective of course designing, Engineering Management major of NEFU and Building Management major of Aston University had great potential in cooperation in the future.

On the forum, the two universities talked about some details, including talents training plans for undergraduates and graduates, short-term visit and training for young teachers, the integration of research project platform and the timetable about cooperation.

People who accompanied Ian were Duan Yucai, the Chairman of the Department of Global Affairs and Cooperation of AEMG, and Li Na, the Director of NEFU Project Department of AEMG.
